PROGRAM OF FREE MEDICAL EXAMINATION, MEDICINE AND GIVING GIFTS FOR VIETNAMESE HEROIC MOTHER, RELATIVES AND FAMILY OF MARTYRS OF CHAU DUC DISTRICT IN 2024

As part of the series of gratitude movements on the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day July 27, on Aug 3, 2024, representatives of the Company and CSVC Trade Union, in coordination with volunteer doctors of Ba Ria Hospital, organized a program of free medical examination, medicine and giving gifts to 200 policy beneficiaries who are Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives and families of martyrs with contributions to the Revolution, residing in Chau Duc District, BRVT Province with a total program budget of 50 million VND. Through this activity, CSVC Board of Director and Trade Union wish to contribute within the capacity, to join hands with society to express gratitude and concern for the life of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families of martyrs. This is also one of the community support activities marking the annual and sustainable collaboration between CSVC and Ba Ria Hospital over these years.

AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO POOR STUDENTS IN SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024

2024 is a challenging year for businesses when facing many economic fluctuations. However, being deeply aware of the importance of sharing the burden of tuition fees with disadvantaged families, the CSVC Board of Directors decided to continue maintaining the annual Scholarship fund as a reward for poor students overcoming difficulties. At the end of May this year, representatives of the Board of Directors of CSVC visited and awarded 90 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to 90 studious students at Vo Thi Sau High School (Dat Do District), Duong Bach Mai High School (Dat Do District) and the BRVT Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding School (Chau Duc District). Through this activity, CSVC hopes to give encouragement and create more motivation for students to continue trying to achieve better results in the 2024-2025 school year.

DONATING BEDDING SETS FOR STUDENTS OF BRVT PROVINCIAL ETHNIC MINORITY BOARDING SCHOOL

In a series of activities related to education, in May 2024, representatives of the Board of Directors of CSVC visited the boarding area of the BRVT Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding School, and donated 251 sets of personal blankets and mattresses for adding into the boarding area facilities for students of the school. Currently, the school has about 400 students from 13 different ethnic minorities in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, mainly the Cho Ro ethnic group, with the majority of them boarding at the school. Receiving new blankets, mattresses and pillows not only brought joy to the students but also made the school's Board of Directors extremely excited. The school hopes to continue connecting and accompanying CSVC in the future.

GIVING GIFTS TO PEOPLE IN DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES ON THE OCCASION OF THE 2024 LUNAR NEW YEAR

Every spring comes, in the joyful atmosphere of the days approaching the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024, CSVC Company coordinated with the Red Cross Association of Phu My town to organize the program: “Tết Nhân Ái - Xuân Giáp Thìn 2024” on January 30, 2024. Accordingly, CSVC and the Red Cross Association of Phu My town visited and gave gifts with a total cost of 49,500,000 VND for 75 households in difficult circumstances in Tan Hoa commune, Tan Hai commune, Phuoc Hoa ward, Tan Phuoc ward of Phu My town - BRVT province. This is one of the meaningful activities that CSVC has maintained every year to support the local community in reducing difficulties and enjoying a more fulfilling spring.

“RUN FOR CHILDREN 2023” – EVERY STRIDE, EVERY HEART

Morning, Dec 9, China Steel and Nippon Steel Vietnam JSC (CSVC) in partnership with the People's Committee of Chau Duc District organized “Run for Children 2023”, a marathon to raise funds for scholarships for dedicated students from under-resourced backgrounds, in Suoi Rao commune, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. At the event, representatives from CSVC and sponsors gave 48 scholarships, totaling more than 100 million VND to primary and secondary students in the commune who are from low-income families and want to further their education. There are children from families who made great contributions to the revolution, as well as ethnic minorities including Cho Ro, Tay, Hoa, and Khmer people who are living in difficult conditions. This is a donation of all the participants of the program.

SHOCKING MOMENT RARE PYTHON “GETTING LOST” IN CSVC

Around 4 am on Dec 7, a stunned Security M43 employee found an internal driver of Contractor Thien An catch a rare 4-meter-long python while on patrol at the wastewater treatment intersection area of Dept. Utilities P8. After receiving instructions from management, M43 promptly reported and carried out a handover procedure to transfer the reticulated python to the Forest Protection Department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, with the wish that the python could be released into wild. The forest rangers timely arrived at the CSVC company and transferred the rare python to Dinh Mountain at around 11 AM on the same day.

GENDER EQUALITY COURSE ON NOVEMBER 10

On Nov 10, China Steel and Nippon Steel Vietnam JSC organized a Gender Equality course on the topic: “Maintaining connections - Nurturing love” for all employees, with PhD in psychology Ms. To Nhi A. CSVC encourages women to express their concerns openly and to receive guidance from professional psychologists. Furthermore, the course gives deeper and more practical psychological understanding not only for women but also for men, allowing them to better grasp and apply this knowledge to their mental health as well as work and personal life.
